Our hunt for the perfect wedding venue continues… this past Saturday we visited the Red Lion Inn. I spent some time browsing past weddings via local photographers blogs and websites before hand so I knew I was going to like this venue, I just didn’t know how much! From the moment we stepped into the venue I was in love, it was beautiful. The bare wood structure of the room had a truly rustic look and feel while the high ceilings showcasing stunning chandeliers offered a touch of romance and elegance.
This venue will accommodate all your wedding needs under one roof, the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Here at the bottom of this beautiful staircase you exchange your I do’s.
Upstairs in the spacious loft area guests gather for cocktail hour. Complete with bar top tables, benches for seating and two bars located on each side and end of the loft.
The best part of the loft is the view! Guests can peer over and view the gorgeous reception area!
If you’re still deciding on a color scheme for your fall wedding, you might want to consider the Pantone color of the year for 2013 – emerald. Emerald green is a color that often represents growth or renewal so it’s a great color choice for the beginning of your new life together. Emerald is a lush jewel tone that evokes luxury and it’s a brilliant color choice for a formal or casual wedding. For formal weddings, you can incorporate the color emerald by adding cascading emerald crystals to chandeliers, using green emerald like stones at the base of floral centerpieces and emerald stone accents in the center of flowers or use emerald peacock feathers as accents in centerpieces, bouquets or on your cake. For more casual weddings, you can use emerald votive candles on tables, emerald striped paper straws for drinks or emerald bows on the backs of chairs. Whether you go formal or casual, emerald is a great color choice for weddings. Do you have any ideas on incorporating emerald into wedding décor? Shop Green Wedding Accessories >
Looking for ways to honor your Irish heritage on your wedding day? Have you considered using Celtic symbols? Here are some ideas on how to incorporate a couple different types of symbols at your wedding.
Wedding Rings – Choose a Claddagh ring, featuring a heart with a crown held by two hands, Celtic Knots, with their interlacing lines, or a combination of both, as a wedding band.
Ceremony Accessories – Show your Irish pride during the ceremony with ring bearer pillows, flower girls baskets, handkerchiefs and garters with Celtic Crosses.
Reception Gifts & Decor – Have your guests bring a little bit of Ireland home with them by adding a personalized label with an Irish blessing for a favor, or luck of the Irish theme and shamrocks to water bottles, chocolate bars or wine bottles.
St. Patrick’s Day wedding or not, using Celtic themed accessories are a fun way to bring the spirit of Irish culture to a wedding any day of the year.

Planning a Las Vegas wedding? My friends are, so I was looking around for some cute, fun accessories to give them as a gift before their trip and I came across a couple items I thought I’d share.
Since it is quite hot and sunny in Vegas this time of year, I thought a set of bride and groom baseball caps that say “Just Married in Fabulous Las Vegas” would be the perfect thing for them to take along.
I also love the Vegas toasting glasses. That, along with a bottle of champagne, would be a great gift for any couple.
And just for fun and a good laugh, who wouldn’t love to get a deck of bride and groom hounds playing cards?
