Include your pet in your wedding!

Will you be including your furry friend in your wedding? If so make sure they are dressed for the occasion. At The Wedding Outlet we have all kinds of fun pet wedding accessories… for the ladies consider a flower dog collar, tulle dog skirt or dog wings. While for the boys consider the oh so popular pet tux, dog ring bearer pillow or dog tux collar. If your venue doesn’t allow for your best bud to be present on your wedding day consider including a dog cake top figurine with the bride and groom cake top.

What are some other fun ways you could include your pet in your wedding day?

City style meets Intimate Feel

The Rivermill at Dover Landing in NH is a fairly new venue to hit the wedding scene. From their outstanding Wedding Wire Testimonials you’ll quickly see why this unique venue was next on our list to visit. While the venue is not exactly rustic like some of the previous venues we’ve visited, it offers a unique look and feel that interested us too. The high lofty ceilings, exposed brick and large gorgeous windows make this place stand out amoung other venues. This past Saturday we meet with Britt who was a delight. She was informative, personable and down to earth. While she discussed her venue and all it had to offer she happily suggested hotels, local restaurants and outdoor ceremony spots that would accommodate all our needs. This venue is essentially an open space for us to create a wedding all our own. With the appropriate up-lighting, decorations, tables and more personal touches this venue easily transforms into a wedding day you’ve dreamed of.

Build Wedding Welcome Bags with a Couple Clicks

Having a destination wedding or a wedding with a lot of out-of-town guests and stressing about making welcome bags and what to put in them?  I recently read about a company, Bow Tie Bags (TM), which sells customizable and personalized welcome bags for your wedding guests.

Simply visit their website and assemble your bags with a few clicks.  Choose your bag color, products like gum, chips, granola bars, mints, etc., and custom label, then notify your hotel when the bags will be arriving. They assemble the bags and deliver them!  It’s simple, stress-free, and seems like it saves a lot of time because you don’t have to run to multiple stores to pick up all the products and assemble all the bags.

Wedding Symbols

Most people know that the wedding ring symbolizes unending love or that the white wedding gown symbolizes purity but have you ever wondered about the meaning of some other popularly used symbols? Below is some inspiration you’ll find from our Wedding Symbols Pinterest Board.

The Revealing

It’s a boy – or is it a girl?

Lindsay & Tim’s rustic wedding ceremony and reception are set in the beautiful
Essex Conference and Retreat Center in Essex, Massachusetts (45 minutes North of Boston). Their wedding celebrates more than just their vows and union; but reveals the gender of their upcoming addition to their family.

What we loved:

  • The groom and groomsmen’s strayed from traditional tuxedos and opted for khakis with pink striped ties. The groom stood out from wedding party by adorning a khaki colored vest.
  • The bride tossed tradition to the side, too, by opting for flowers instead of a veil.
  • Bridesmaids were right on trend by not wearing matchy-matchy bridesmaids dresses but rather wore peach dresses while the maid-of-honor wore khaki.
  • The Welcome Table included a basket for family and friends to offer name suggestions for their soon-to-be baby.
  • Tiny lights trimmed the reception tent giving a warm and inviting feel. Glow sticks and a campfire light the night as the reception continues into the evening.
  • Cake Cutting turned into more than just cutting and feeding each other. The guests and the couple find out the gender of the baby as they cut into the cake…will it be a pink cake or a blue cake?! Watch to find out…

Card Boxes with a Personal Touch!

Add an unexpected pop of personalization to your welcome table at your wedding reception with a personalization card box holder. These featured card holders are uniquely designed and offer a special spot for personalization creating a one of kind accessory and beautiful keepsake.

The Wedding Photo Card Box holds a favorite 4″ x 6″ photo in the window on the front to display for all your guests to see. The top lids opens and closes with two hinges for guests to drop in their cards. With its contemporary design, the Circle of Love Acrylic Wedding Box creates a sophisticated Wishing Well for your special event. Will work perfectly with any theme or color scheme. Great for weddings, birthdays, corporate events or any other special occasion where cards and well wishes will be collected. The antique-style Special Delivery Letter Box has vintage embossed detailing and will truly make a great accessory to the guest book table. Consider using the Classic Birdcage Card Holder as a wish box along with the Die-Cut Paper Medallion to create a one of kind personalized card holder.

Wine Favors Uncorked

I recently spent a few days in the Finger Lakes New York hitting the wine trail and tasting different varieties of wines from the many wineries and vineyards there. I was thinking that the wineries would be a fun and picturesque place to have an autumn rehearsal dinner or small wedding reception but that may not be possible for many brides.

If you’d still like to add a touch of fall harvest and a wine theme to your wedding, why not do it with your favors? You can give small bottles of wine with personalized wine labels or fancy beaded or pewter wine stoppers to guests. Consider using wine corks for placecards too! Combining the wine themed favors with the warm colors of fall foliage at your wedding will get everyone in the spirit of the season.
