Real Wedding: Sarah & Ed

This past December, Sarah & Ed were the lucky winners of an “Us” photo session with photographer Bob Goguen. The couple spent the day in and around Boston posing for the camera. Having an “Us” photo session is a great way for the photographer to get to know the couple and really capture what makes them an ”Us”.

The couple were so thrilled with Bob’s work from the ”Us” shoot that they hired him to photograph their wedding. On June 7th the two were married at Felt Club in Boston. The bride took an untraditional approach and wore a long fire engine red dress. The two danced the night away with friends and family and Bob was there capturing every moment!

Vendor Spotlight: Robert Goguen Photography

Robert Goguen has been a long time favorite photographer of ours.  His photos are amazing! What makes him such a  great photographer aside for his shots is that Robert enjoys getting to know his clients before the big event.  As part of his wedding package he offers the “Us” photo sitting. He feels it  ”gives the perfect opportunity to spend some time with each other before the wedding”.

Another great feature Robert provides (which is new for 2009) is “The Dress” shoot. The purpose of this shoot is for the couple to “put your wedding clothes back on and have some fun”.

Trash the Bride?

I’ve heard of trashing the dress, but here’s a new one – Trash the bride! Trash the dress is when a bride will do a wedding shoot with her photographer with the goal of doing some fun and unorthodox shots.  For example, I’ve seen photographs of a bride wearing her gown while jumping into the surf, climbing a tree or even playing softball.  Photographer Elaine Soong took this to a new level when she photographed a bride in a junkyard!
