There is a lot to consider when creating your wedding color palette; season, venue, personality, atmosphere to name a few. When planning my color palette, like most brides, I started by selecting my bridesmaids’ dresses. I knew I wanted a color combination that blended to create a soft and romantic color palette. I chose Allure dresses in soft neutral, pink tones with a subtle touch of blue-ish green.
I wanted to accessorize these dresses with something simple, feminine and complimented each of the colors. I found Shine Bridal Jewelry Shop on Etsy. I LOVED the style, color selection and design options available to create a true one of kind gift for my bridesmaids. They offer a wide selection of beautiful handmade stock pieces; or you may create your own custom design if you want to mix & match colors and shapes (which is what I did). Each set was a perfect match – don’t you think!? The great thing about these earrings is that they are completely versatile – they can be worn at the wedding and everyday after! Each pair of bridesmaid’s earrings arrived beautifully package and ready for gifting in a small kraft colored box, wrapped in a pink satin bow. The girls loved them!
You’ve found the perfect wedding gown, now it’s time to accessorize! With many wedding gowns detailed with faux pearls, rhinestones, organza flowers, sequins and other bling, it can be difficult to choose bridal jewelry that will enhance your wedding gown, not take away from it.
Bridal Jewelry DOs:
* Glam it up! Vintage gowns are trending, so is vintage inspired bridal jewelry.
* If your dress has lots of details above the waist or you are wearing a bridal headpiece with bling, go simple.
* Make a Statement. Necklaces continue to be bold and beautiful when the gown has less detailing on top.
* Pearls will always be a traditional staple. The simplicity and coloring of pearls goes well with many traditional styled wedding gowns.
* Bling it on. Bracelets can be slim or wide, simple or extravagant. Just be sure it doesn’t weigh you down!
When choosing your bridal jewelry, there are so many factors to consider. We asked Bridal Party Express of Fall River for some of their favorite styles for 2013. From simple and sophisticated to vintage and old Hollywood glam, we love all their recommendations! Which is your favorite?
Not sure what will look best with your gown? Rule of thumb is the more elaborate your gown, the simpler the jewelry. Afterall, you want the bling of your amazing gown to be the showpiece! Still need help? Checkout the full article on Dos and Don’ts of Bridal Jewelry at RIWeddingGuide.com >

According to Conde Nast Bridal Group, December outpaces Valentine’s Day for proposals. Since the holiday season is probably the most popular time for guys to pop the question, it’s no wonder we are starting to see TV commercials advertising engagement rings. One recent spot I saw was for the new Neil Lane Bridal Collection from KAY Jewelers. Jeweler to Hollywood’s elite, Neil Lane is now making his styles available to all future brides.
The vintage-inspired contemporary jewelry collection features pieces that are hand cast and hand assembled from Lane’s original designs, the diamonds are hand set, engraving and scrolling is finished by hand, and then the finished pieces are given a four-step polishing process that makes them sparkle. I’ve only seen pictures but they look exquisite. There are many different styles available too, from diamond bands with a solitaire, to larger, more intricate pieces that feature diamonds, surrounded by diamonds, surrounded by even more diamonds. Now that’s the one I’d want!
Klidonas Photo Jewelry is designer by a Child & Family Photographer who loves creating images for families that last a lifetime. Her pieces are absolutley beautiful and would make a special gift for anyone. I love the idea of wearing one on your wedding day. Whether its a picture of your soon to be husband, a deceased family member you are remembering or your child; that person is extra close to you during your special day. The beadwork is lovely and perfect for any style. Consider giving one as a gift for your mother or your mother in law. Please check out the rest of her pieces at her Etsy Shop.

Family Medallions were created to assist with “family weddings” and to recognize a family commitment when either the bride or groom has children. The Family Medallion symbol includes three equally merged circles. Two circles represent the marriage union while the third symbolizes the importance of children within the family. Family Medallions come with a copy of the “Celebrating The New Family” ceremony.
The Family Medallion is a symbol of family unity and love. The Family Medallion is commonly given to the children of the bride and/or groom during the course of a wedding. When a stepfamily relationship is involved, the Family Medallion is a tangible way to build a bond of trust between stepparents and stepchildren. Family Medallions are available in rings, pendants, bracelets and pins.
