The finale featured a series of wedding day disasters; it started with a devastating hair salon experience, went on to the bride’s limo being towed and concluded with the bride and maid-of-honor getting a ride to the church by an eco-friendly, hippie, drug dealer. There was more mayhem in between things, but you get the picture. It was every bride’s worst nightmare come true. You really felt sorry for her but you had to laugh!

Billy Gardell and Melissa McCarthy play Mike and Molly who are both hysterical. It’s especially funny to watch them interact with the crazy cast of supporting characters assembled on the show. If you haven’t seen it, try an episode. It’s pretty funny.

Some couples renew their vows every year on their anniversary while others, like me, pick a special anniversary to do it. I think renewing your vows helps you remember what you love about each other and why you married in the first place.  When life is so busy, it’s sometimes easy to forget that.  Renewing your vows can make you feel like newlyweds all over again and who wouldn’t want that?

No biggie. People get engaged every day but most women don’t get a rock like the one Angelina is now sporting.

Brad Pitt worked with a jeweler in designing the ring for more than a year. It features a large emerald cut diamond with smaller, similarly shaped diamonds that circle her finger. I think it has a bit of an Art Deco look to it and I just love it. What do you think of it?

The film is called “The Five-Year Engagement” and it stars Jason Segal, Emily Blunt, Chris Pratt, and one of favorite funny girls, Mindy Kaling.  The film tracks a couple’s engagement which ends up becoming longer and longer as they adjust to the changing circumstances of their lives.  This film is produced by Judd Apatow, who also produced “Bridesmaids.”  It looks less raunchy than “Bridesmaids” but just as humorous.

I’ll be checking it out when it hits theaters on April 27th, how about you?

The couple knew the queen would be visiting the Manchester Town Hall the day of their wedding there.  So John wrote to Buckingham Palace to invite the monarch but his invitation was declined.  Or so he thought.  Secretly, arrangements were being made for Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip to stop by.  I can’t even imagine the look of surprise that John and Frances had when they saw the queen.  The queen wished them well and even posed for photos with the newlyweds.  Now those are wedding crashers everyone would welcome.
