Having a sand cermony during your wedding ceremony is becoming increasingly popular with today’s couples. They offer a unique alternative to lighting a unity candle and are particularly suited for a beach-themed wedding. (Candles are near impossible to keep lit during an outdoor wedding - espeically if its on the beach.)
Here are two New Sand Ceremony Sets:

Heart Shaped Sand Ceremony Set - includes 1 large vase, 2 medium vases, 1 small vase, a metal stand and glass stopper. (Sand must be bought seperately for this kit.) The glass stopper makes it easy to keep the sand in place for many years to come.

Sand Ceremony Vase Set - this set includes 1 large vase, 2 smaller vases, plus 2 colors of sand.

Hortense B. Hewitt just introduced two new wedding aisle runners - just in time for all those summer weddings. These aisle runners are decorated in a delicate heart motif and are particularly suited for a heart wedding theme. The aisle runner is available in either white or ivory.

White Aisle Runner

Ivory Aisle Runner
These aisle runners are made for both indoor and outdoor wedding ceremonies. You may want to consider using 2-sided tape to help keep the aisle runner in place during the ceremony. As a pre-caution, the bride and her bridesmaids should “scuff” up the bottom of their shoes to make them less slippery.

Brides spend an enormous amount of time and money for their wedding dresses so it’s a good idea to use an aisle runner at the ceremony. Wedding aisle runners can be used indoors or outdoors and are a great way to protect the bridal gown and train from dragging on the floor and getting dirty. Aisle runners are available in durable plastic or fabric and different textures like matte, pearl or patterned.
A fabric aisle runner is traditionally used for the wedding ceremony. The color of the aisle runner should match the color of the wedding dress. (A bride wearing an ivory gown should have an ivory aisle runner.) Aisle runners are also available in a variety of colors to coordinate with bridal party dresses or color scheme of the wedding.

Some wedding aisle runners have intricate foliated white lace. Some runners are white and semi-clear, accented with large floral designs or small intricate blossoms that bring the beauty of nature to your feet.

Floral Aisle Runners
For a unique and modern wedding aisle runner, a white runner with an imprinted message or quote like “And The Two Shall Become One” is a fun alternative to the traditional lacey or floral versions.

The aisle runner is the place for the bride to stand out while keeping her gown as gleaming as her smile.

Wedding pew bows are not just for pews anymore. Although church pew bows are typically used to reserve the front rows of pews for immediate family and closest friends or used to decorate all of the center aisle pews or chairs at the wedding ceremony, with a little imagination and creativity, you can create customized wedding pew bows that can be used for the ceremony and reception.
Simple, white poly ribbon pull bows fastened to the aisle seats are elegant on their own as a decorative accent at the ceremony. They also are a perfect backdrop for creating a customized look. By adding mini plastic champagne glasses, wedding bells, bride and groom figurines, or gold wedding bands to the bows, you can create your own unique wedding pew bow. For summer or beach theme weddings, add a large starfish, sand dollar or shell for a nautical look.

White Wedding Pew Bow
Pair net lace pull bows, accented with silk greenery or flowers, with white tulle draped from pew to pew for a soft, romantic look.

Lace Tulle Pew Bow
Metallic colored pew bows gleam and add glamour. Silver or gold pew bows create a dramatic look when paired with white tulle and make a stunning addition to the ceremony or reception.

Metallic Wedding Pew Bow
Church Pew bows aren’t just for pews. Not only used for reserved seating in church or decorating each aisle, pew bows can also be used to decorate the cars of the bridal party. You can use pew bows at the reception too. Wedding bows can be used as decorative accents across the front of the bridal party table, seating assignment table, or cake cutting table. You can even use a pew bow to decorate the backs of chairs, bathroom doors or sinks, or the front of the bar. Get creative and add pew bows to dress up your décor.

Colored Ring Pillows
Not a big fan of the square shaped pillow, then how about a heart shaped pillow, or don’t use a pillow at all. Choose a pewter keepsake ring holder, a silver plated rose ring box, drawstring bag pouch set or a carriage shaped ring holder perfect for a fairy tale wedding.

Ring Pillow Alternatives
And if man’s best friend will be walking the rings down the aisle, you’ll find ring pillows especially designed for your canine friend.

Dog Ring Pillows

Wedding Programs are your guests’ blueprint for following the wedding ceremony. Back in the day, many brides had their wedding programs printed by a specialty stationary store. Nowadays, the widespread use of computers allows brides to easily produce the wedding programs themselves.
Here are some tips for DIY wedding programs:
Select the wedding program paper. There are many varieties of paper available like embossed or “soft” picture backgrounds with flowers, crosses or heart designs. Find one that coordinates with the color or style of your wedding. There are also various sizes like the traditional tri-fold, bulletin, or slender bulletin. Inside pages are blank and most wedding program paper is compatible with inkjet or laser printers.

Sample Bulletin Sample Tri-fold

Slim Bulletin Bi-fold Wedding Program
Write the content. A program typically includes four sections – Program Title, Order of Service, Participants, and a Special Note. When typing the copy for inside the program, select an eye-catching font for headlines and titles but use plain, easy-to-read fonts for the body copy of the program. Be sure to be consistent with font size throughout the program and don’t use too many different fonts.
Print them up. Follow the printing instructions or templates that come with the paper. If printing on two sides, be sure to line up your paper correctly so that the type prints in the right direction.
Fold them up. Once printing is complete, just fold the wedding program paper on the score marks and you’re finished.
Do it yourself wedding programs look great and are a snap to make. Click here for more wedding programs.
