Billy Gardell and Melissa McCarthy play Mike and Molly who are both hysterical. It’s especially funny to watch them interact with the crazy cast of supporting characters assembled on the show. If you haven’t seen it, try an episode. It’s pretty funny.

If you saw “The Wedding” episode, what did you think?

Some couples renew their vows every year on their anniversary while others, like me, pick a special anniversary to do it. I think renewing your vows helps you remember what you love about each other and why you married in the first place.  When life is so busy, it’s sometimes easy to forget that.  Renewing your vows can make you feel like newlyweds all over again and who wouldn’t want that?

Brad Pitt worked with a jeweler in designing the ring for more than a year. It features a large emerald cut diamond with smaller, similarly shaped diamonds that circle her finger. I think it has a bit of an Art Deco look to it and I just love it. What do you think of it?

The film is called “The Five-Year Engagement” and it stars Jason Segal, Emily Blunt, Chris Pratt, and one of favorite funny girls, Mindy Kaling.  The film tracks a couple’s engagement which ends up becoming longer and longer as they adjust to the changing circumstances of their lives.  This film is produced by Judd Apatow, who also produced “Bridesmaids.”  It looks less raunchy than “Bridesmaids” but just as humorous.

I’ll be checking it out when it hits theaters on April 27^th, how about you?

The couple knew the queen would be visiting the Manchester Town Hall the day of their wedding there.  So John wrote to Buckingham Palace to invite the monarch but his invitation was declined.  Or so he thought.  Secretly, arrangements were being made for Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip to stop by.  I can’t even imagine the look of surprise that John and Frances had when they saw the queen.  The queen wished them well and even posed for photos with the newlyweds.  Now those are wedding crashers everyone would welcome.

I also love the versatility daffodils provide. Whether used in a large group alone or combined with other flowers or fruits, they really convey the feeling of spring, don’t you think?

While on their deck, celebrating the one year anniversary of moving into their house, a plane flies by with a romantic proposal message. Jackie accepts and then a helicopter begins to get closer, landing in the grassy area in their backyard. A surprised Jackie can’t believe her eyes when the copter picks them up for a fabulous night in New York City to celebrate. How romantic is that!

Josh even videotaped his thoughts about the proposal and the night’s events as they unfolded for YouTube making certain it’s a proposal they’ll never forget. Congratulations guys!

Anyone have a unique proposal story to share?

Now I don’t know about you, but I would never be adventurous enough, uninhibited enough or confident enough to participate in a group nude wedding but kudos to those winning couples who were.  They all won a complimentary bachelor/bachelorette party, wedding, and four-night stay at the resort.  Not so bad, and they didn’t have to stress about what to wear.

You really couldn’t invite your parents or grandparents to that event though, could you?

It’s so wonderful that they found each other after all those years and are able to share the rest of their lives together. They are a great looking couple and look so happy together. Congratulations to them and Happy Valentine’s Day to all!

The survey revealed that brides are willing to share resources, and of the brides who do share, the top items they share with other brides are:  decorations (63%), clothing and accessories (50%) and coveted planning tools (38%).  I think sharing wedding decorations is a great idea but clothing I’m not so sure about.

It also seems like brides are planning and wearing what they want at their weddings despite disapproval of their moms.  The survey shows that the person most brides would trust in helping plan their weddings is their significant others (56%), followed by their mothers (52%) and more than half of brides (56%) say that if their mother thought their wedding dress was inappropriate, they would not choose another style.  Sorry moms.

I wasn’t so surprised to find that brides are still cutting back on wedding spending in 2011 just as in 2010, but are less likely to cut spending on reception essentials including:  venue (22% in 2011, 57% in 2010), décor (47% in 2011, 59% in 2010) and alcohol (27% in 2011, 44% in 2010).  I think spending on a venue can get very pricey and if you shop around enough, you could possibly find a beautiful venue at a significant savings over a dream location.
