Say it Ain’t so – Priscilla of Boston to Close
Brides will have one less portfolio of wedding gown brands to shop next year. According to a report by Women’s Wear Daily, David’s Bridal is closing its Priscilla of Boston division and salons and retiring/discontinuing their brands Platinum by Priscilla of Boston, Melissa Sweet, Reverie by Melissa Sweet, and the Vineyard collection.
I wonder if the brands can be purchased by someone else? Priscilla of Boston began in 1945 on Newbury Street in Boston and has become one of the premiere names in the bridal business. It’d be a shame to have it go away for good.
Here’s a link to the news from The Boston Globe.
