Make a Dramatic Statement in Red
Many of us look to Hollywood celebrities to find out what styles are hot and which ones are not. If you saw the recent Emmy Awards, I’m sure you noticed that there were a few hot trends worth watching. The trends I noticed most were the continued popularity of the one shoulder gown, plunging necklines and the color red.
Many celebrity formal clothing trends end up crossing over into the bridal world. We’ve already seen plenty of one shoulder gown styles for bridesmaids’ dresses and another Emmy trend that might catch on for weddings is the color red. Red ruled the red carpet as actresses Sofia Vergara, Lea Michele, Kate Winslet, Kerry Washington, Nina Dobrev and Sarah Hyland all wore red. Red’s a great choice for a Christmas, Valentine’s or fall/winter wedding. Red evokes warmth and passion and really makes a dramatic statement.
