5 Ways to Green your Wedding for Earth Day
Today, April 22nd marks the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. Earth Day is designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s environment.

The EPA’s website is asking people to pick 5 for the environment, that is, pick 5 ways you can make a difference using water, air, land, energy, waste, and/or advocacy.
Here we suggest 5 ways to “go green” at your wedding in honor of Earth Day:
Air ~ You can help reduce pollution by encouraging guests to carpool to and from the ceremony and reception or you can plant a tree at your new home to offset carbon emissions.
Land ~ You can use native live plants or sustainable plants like bamboo in centerpieces which can double as gifts for the guests.
Waste ~ Use recycled products where possible, for instance, invitations, jewelry, and even wedding dresses.
Advocacy ~ Share your green wedding tips here, on Facebook, or Twitter.
