Real Wedding: Suzanne & Gary
I am so excited to share this wedding I found on Inside Weddings. I was instantly drawn to these stunning photos and extremely curious about all the fun details it entailed. So with out further ado I present the wedding of Mr. & Mrs Shafner!
Once upon a time, at the home of the Academy Awards {yes you heard me right} Suzanne & Gary gathered with family and friends to exchange I do’s!
It only seemed natural to include elements of the silver screen throughout their ceremony and reception…”Guests got a preview of the unique style of the event through oversized invitations issued with “theatre ticket” inserts. A faux movie poster near the box office promoted the couple’s “Big Fat Kodak Wedding,” and the Playbill ceremony programs were an absolute work of art”. {Inside Weddings}
Every aspect of the wedding was grand right down to the music selection. “An incredible performer began singing a custom version of ‘Oh Happy Day’ as soon as we were pronounced man and wife,” says the groom. “Then when Gary and I made it about halfway down the aisle,” Suzanne continues, “a curtain lifted to reveal a full gospel choir that joined in on the singing.”{Inside Weddings} Can you imagine! Something about “Oh Happy Day” just pumps you up and you know your in for a good time!
The entire arena was filled with dramatic flower displays and other fantastic wedding decor. The ceremony took place on the stage and when the curtains opened the guests were stunned at the site of a gorgeous reception that awaited them. Sounds like something out of a movie!
