Have a Black Tie Wedding like Khloe and Lamar
The internet has been a buzz with the news that Khloe Kardashian wed Los Angeles Laker Lamar Odom. From what I’ve read about it, the Vera Wang gown, the 10-piece orchestra, the Hollywood night club themed reception, not to mention, the incredible dinner menu, it seems only fitting that the wedding was a black tie event. A black tie wedding is a great way to add an extra bit of glamour to your big day and can be easily achieved with a few simple words.
When sending out your wedding invitations, add the words “Black Tie Invited.” This allows you to set the tone of the wedding without requiring that all guests dress in black tie. Black tie invited indicates that the wedding is an elegant event and guests are invited, and even encouraged, to wear a tuxedo or cocktail dress but are not required. Some guests may not have the extra money to splurge on a tuxedo rental or expensive new dress on top of the wedding gift, and that’s OK, but some guests might find it fun to go black tie. Let’s face it, most of us don’t have many opportunities to get all decked out and some find it exciting to dress up for special occasions.
Here are some looks for a black tie wedding for men and women.
