Check out A Very Duggar Wedding on TLC
I caught an episode of this reality TV show called 17 Kids and Counting about the Duggar family on TLC. I watched because it was a wedding show – A Very Duggar Wedding. It seems the Duggar’s oldest son, Josh, was getting married.
What fascinated me most about the show was how Josh and Anna’s wedding was coming together. According to the show, the couple spent only 60 hours preparing for their wedding. They had 20 in their bridal party not the average of 6. The bridesmaids, wanting a more modest style, made their own dresses. The community from the Baptist church where the service and reception were held, baked, decorated, cooked and basically supported the family throughout the entire event. In the end, Josh and Anna rode off in a car decorated with writing on the windows and cans dragging from the back. It turned out to be a beautiful event. Everyone pitched in and everyone had a great time.
It made me realize that you don’t have to spend countless hours preparing, or loads of money on fancy cars and clothes, the most important part of the day is pledging your love to your future partner and sharing that moment with your family and friends.

I loved this episode. I just don’t know why they saw each other before the wedding. I would love to be kept hidden for my husband to be.
