Rachel Ray TV Show Saves the Wedding Day
Many brides will spend 6 to 12 months planning their weddings. Each and every detail from the dresses, flowers, food served, entertainment, and venue is given careful thought and consideration. Once all the decisions are made, there is a bit of relief knowing that all you have to do now is get through the day itself but for dozens of brides in Harris County Texas, their worrying only got worse as their wedding day approached. Hurricane Ike blasted Texas causing damage and destruction to properties including a wedding venue that was forced to close its doors leaving brides-to-be out of a reception hall and their deposits. The Rachel Ray show got involved, and along with many generous companies that donated their products and services, they were able to give all of these disappointed brides one huge wedding and they put it all together in just one week.
The Brides of Harris County segment aired November 21st and Rachel Ray’s team worked to give these couples the wedding of their dreams. From dressing the brides and grooms in the gowns and tuxedos of their choice, transforming Minute Maid Park, home of the Houston Astros, into a winter wonderland with giant birch trees, white flowers, linens and crystals, and providing a surprise entertainer for the event, country star Wynonna, Rachel’s team gave them a wedding they will always remember.
Congratulations to all the happy couples!
