Ice Sculptures Make Cool Showpieces
A friend of mine recently attended a wedding and raved about the beautiful ice sculpture they had. It was actually an ice sculpture slide that drinks were poured down, getting them nice and chilled and filled into the glass waiting at the bottom of the slide. I thought how very “cool” and wouldn’t an ice sculpture be the perfect touch for a holiday or winter wedding? Ice sculptures, with their glistening looks, make a dramatic centerpiece or focal point of any table or bar.
I distinctly remember an ice sculpture at a wedding I attended. It was a large swan sculpture and it sat tall in the center of the table surrounded by lots of pretty pink shrimp and crab claws during cocktail hour. It was something kind of special that I didn’t see every day and it made an impression.
Although a swan sculpture is very popular for weddings, it is just one style of ice sculpture you can use. Many companies that do them offer various styles and shapes, for example, animals, vases, people, musical instruments, or monograms and some can even do custom designed pieces as well. Some sculptures can even be etched with the names of the bride and groom and wedding date.
