Wedding Toasting Glasses for Two

April 4th, 2007 by Debbie

Most couples will have a champagne toast at the wedding reception.  Flutes are the best type of wedding glasses for drinking champagne.  Drinks made with sparkling wine like champagne cocktails, bellinis or mimosas are also suited to flutes. If you prefer non-alcoholic drinks for toasting, sparkling cider or sparkling apple and grape juices also look great in wedding flutes.

What to look for when selecting wedding toasting glasses:
Flutes are usually available in trumpet style where the stem of the glass can be filled to the base with champagne or the tulip style where the stem is solid.

Wedding Flutes can be quite glamorous when made from 24% lead cut crystal that can be accessorized with anything from bows, jewels, shells and flowers or they can be elegantly simple with a platinum rim at the top of the glass.

Flutes can also be sliver-plated with unique design characteristics like a heart shaped rim and base.

And if you can’t decide on silver-plated or glass, how about flutes that are glass on top with sliver-plated stems embellished with crystals?  A winning combination!

When the best man makes the first toast to the bride and groom at the wedding reception, the wedding toasting flutes are held up for all to see so be sure to pick a pair that lets you celebrate in style.
