Corral your Guests for a Western Wedding

August 8th, 2007 by Debbie

You don’t have to live in a home on the range to have a western wedding theme. You can round up the guests for a western themed wedding no matter where you live. With western inspired wedding accessories, the bride and groom will feel like a rodeo queen and bull rider in no time!

Western wedding accessories with decorative accents like cowboy hats and boots, fringe, horseshoes, and rope are a great way to add classic cowboy charm to your celebration.

Nothing says western more than a cowboy hat. The bride can wear a white cowgirl hat with the word “Bride” spelled out in diamante studs while the groom wears a black hat with a leather patch reading “The Groom.” The his and her hats are an amusing way to carry out the western theme.

Using fringe and rope trim on accessories like pillar candles, garters, pen holders, and cake server sets is sure to bring out the “Yee Haw” in everyone.

Another popular western motif is the horseshoe. A great alternative to the traditional type ring pillow is a genuine pewter horseshoe engraved with the words “Lucky in Love” that hangs from a white satin handle complete with ribbon to tie the rings onto.

Mini boot shot glasses are great as western wedding favors. They can be used for drinking or you can place coffee beans or a cactus inside as a cute take home gift for guests.
