8/8/08 – Next Year’s Big Wedding Day
Wedding experts are predicting that the next big wedding day will by August 8, 2008. Unfortuantely, this “lucky” day falls on a Friday. Although in cities like New York, Fridays have become a popular wedding day, but this trend has yet to catch on for the rest of the country. (I’m sure that one of the reasons 7/7/07 was so popular was because it actually fell on a Saturday.)
One reason for picking 8-8-08 is because it’s easy to remember. I’m surprised at how many couples I’ve talked to say they picked their wedding date because it would be easy to remember their future anniversaries. (Like the 4th of July.)
Only time will tell if 8-8-08 gains popularity with engaged couples the way that 7/7/07 did.
